Malayalam poetry 'Comrade' mired in controversy over ownership

Arya Dayal became an internet sensation shortly after her video reciting a Malayalam poetry started doing the rounds on social media. The poetry, called 'Comrade', believed to have been penned down by Sam Mathew is now mired in controversy as a woman has claimed ownership of the poetry.
Pratheeksha Sivadas, a former Student of NSS College, Ottapalam, has claimed that she is the creator of the poetry.
She posted an open later on Facebook, claiming ownership and also garnered support by people. Pratheeksha claims that the poetry which was first published in 2012 under the name of movie activist Sam Mathew, was written years ago by her.
Meanwhile, Sam Mathew has said that due legal course will be taken in this case.
