Saurabh Patel no more a minister, no woman in cabinet, Radadia’s big jump to cabinet
August 07, 2016
Gandhinagar: Three main highlights of today’s swearing in function of new Chief Minister Vijay Rupani are that senior cabinet minister Saurabh Patel whose name was once discussed for the post of Chief Minister has been dropped. It is believed that Saurabhbhai’s services will be taken by either organization or Saurabhbhai’s mentor Narendrabhai in Delhi. If nothing of these two happens in near future then we can assume Saurabhbhai has done some blunder that we don’t know, and he could be another Jaynarayan Vyas may be. The other highlighting point is that there’s no woman cabinet minister. Then Chief Minister Narendra Modi had practiced a tradition to place a woman as cabinet minister. Today’s move of not inducting woman as cabinet minister is deviation from that earlier practice. A woman MLA from Kutch who was hoping for berth had met Amit Shah couple of days ago at Shah’s Ahmedabad residence. It seems she has failed to get favor. Ahmedabad’s Naroda seat MLA Nirmala Vaghvani has been made minister of state. She is now the only woman in Rupani ministry. Shah may have not found any suitable face perhaps for woman candidate in cabinet. This present version of cabinet is anyway focused at year 2017 elections. Third highlighting point is jump of Jayesh Radadia. Jayesh was on 14th rank of seniority among all ministers of state(MoS). He has been elevated to cabinet rank perhaps in attempt to create a young Leuva Patidar leadership in Saurashtra. Jayesh has started growing beard like his father and adopting father’s fire-brand style.
