Realty firm cheats eleven

VADODARA: A couple residing in Vasna Road area has been booked for cheating 11 people by promising them houses or shops in different areas of the city. The couple had floated a real estate firm through which the victims were cheated.
An offence registered at J P Road police station said Hemal Patel and his wife Ishani had floated Mantra Infra Space Pvt Ltd, having its office at Akshar Chowk.
One of the victims Dattaram Bhosle filed an offence stating that he wanted to buy a house and was shown a flat in Diwalipura. Bhosle had paid Rs 3,68,200 as a part of the payment. But Bhosle was never given the house. The offence states that 10 other people had paid Rs38,97,500 towards the properties that the company had promised to buy for them. They were shown houses and flats in different areas of the city.
