Open Letter to Mosotho Moepya IEC Boss

The Bolsheviks Party of South Africa
For Attention of Mosotho Moepya. 05th August 2016 The Independent Electoral Commission 0470 GROBLERSDAL. Sir, Reference: Local Government Elections 03rd August 2016.

As Bolsheviks Party of South Africa we would like to voice our serious concerns over certain anomalies that we witnessed on the day of the election and due to the conspicuously lack of the necessary tools on which we could have alerted you on such anomalies, could not.

What was evident was the fact that the IEC, supposedly to be independent to and or not affiliated to any political party, was by innuendo influencing voters to vote for the ruling party, by (1) handing out ANC insignia to raise awareness and symbolism to the emblem, and when voters enquired about other parties represented by individuals, (i.e. enquiries in reference to the party that is represented by “Seun” Mogotji) was told that no such party exist on the ballot paper and (2) removing slips with the party emblem from voter Identity documents that represented the part in favour of which they wanted to cast their vote (removing the symbol of the party with which such individuals could identify their vote to cast).

By doing this, and specifically so to the old and frail caused confusion which ultimately proved detrimental to the party concerned. Efforts to alert the Chairperson of the IEC in reference to this modus operandi that was followed by representatives of the IEC to his personal cell number (0823973680) was met without him even answering it, or having the courtesy to return the call.

That the election especially so in the circumambient ambit of Elis Motsoaledi can actually be declared fair is far removed from the truth in that affiliation and loyalty to the ruling party influenced IEC officials against any other party but the ANC.

A great injustice was caused to all opposition parties to the ANC and this is indeed a great injustice to democracy in South Africa.

Parties that lacked the financial resources became the victims of impartiality that should have never happened. For your information and investigation. …………………………. Fanie  “Seun” Mogotji.
