The seventh edition of the Brand Icons Awards presented by The Times Group were held at Taj Vivanta in Thiruvananthapuram last week. The awards recognises key icons and organisations that achieve outstanding results and that set them apart as leaders in their own spheres.
TM Thomas Isaac, Minister of Finance, Government of Kerala graced the occasion as the guest of honour and presented the Brand Icon Awards.
In recognition of his contribution towards the growth of business across various sectors around the world, Adeeb Ahamed, executive director, Lulu International Exchange BSC (C) was honored with Global Businessman award. Adeeb is a multifaceted professional who also spearheads several other organisations including Twenty14 Holdings and Tablez Food Company. After successfully establishing Lulu Financial Group as a reputed global foreign exchange and money remittance enterprise with more than 130 branches across the globe within seven years, Adeeb went on to setup the F&B venture, Tablez Food Company, which currently has more than 30 outlets, both home grown and franchised, across India and UAE. He is also the managing director of Twenty14 Holdings, which owns prestigious properties around the world including the Great Scotland Yard in London, Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay in Dubai and Fairfield by Marriott in Kochi, among others.
