Manchu Manoj is all excited about Okkadu Migiladu , his upcoming flick as it is not one of those run-of-the-mill roles. It portrays him as an LTTE leader who toggles between the past and the present.

The well-tanned hero who came to the city to wrap up the first shooting schedule of the bilingual flick says that Okkadu Migiladu is not the movie that shows him as a glamorous person but a leader who has been through tougher times.

“Since my look has to be rugged, I ended up spending hours in the gym and getting abundantly tanned,” the rocking star says, keeping the rest of the film’s details close to his chest.

Defining Vizag as one of the outstanding destinations, he says, “The city is pretty close to my heart as most part of my earlier films, including Donga Dongadi , Sri and Raju Bhai were shot here. The picture-perfect place lends a soothing effect on me as soon as I step into the territory. I have quite a lot of friends here and Srinivas Reddy is one of my best buddies,” he says. His all-time favourite food in the city is karam-butter-sponge dosa at Venkatadri Vantillu and nimma-pappu charu at Hotel Daspalla. About his friendship with Tamil film actor Silambarasan (Simbu), Manoj says, “He is my childhood buddy and I am delighted that our friendship is growing stronger. He sang Bujji Pilla song in Potugadu as a token of our friendship which turned out to be an instant hit.” Manoj says his wife Pranathi Reddy means a lot to him. Other than Okkadu Migiladu , Manoj is simultaneously focusing on two more untitled films directed by Satya and Sagar Pasala.
