NEW DELHI: Classical vocalist Shubha Mudgal has been chosen this year for the Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana Award on account of her contribution to the field of music and social harmony through her art.

Classical vocalist Shubha Mudgal has been chosen this year for the Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana Award on account of her contribution to the field of music and social harmony through her art.

Congress Treasurer Motilal Vora said in a press statement that the decision to honour Mudgal was taken at the meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana Award last week.

The annual award is represented to mark the birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Congress president Sonia Gandhi will confer the award on Mudgal.
