Three students held for selling LSD

Three engineering students were arrested by Task Force sleuths for selling the banned lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) in the city on Thursday. However, their associate managed to flee.

HYDERABAD: Three engineering students were arrested by Task Force sleuths for selling the banned lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) in the city on Thursday. However, their associate managed to flee.
Hyderabad police said Syed Mohammed, Mohammed Mubeenuddin and Nikhil Roach, all residents of Bowenpally, and absconding Prateem Bijjam, were procuring LSD stamps from Goa and other places at Rs 500 a piece and in turn sold it for Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,700.
Police seized 32 stamps from them and recovered Rs 11,000 cash.
"Mohammed used to frequent Goa and Kasol in Himachal Pradesh. In Goa, he came to know about LSD blots (stamps) through a contact. On realizing that many people in Hyderabad were into consuming LSD blots (stamps), he hatched a plan to earn easy money by selling the contraband in Hyderabad at higher prices,'' police said in an official note.
Mohammed discussed his plan with his friends and they began selling the contraband to the needy in the city. They used to be in touch with customers on Facebook.
