New IT Park to cut on energy use

INDORE: The proposed new IT Park on Khandwa road will be developed as an environment friendly green building. The project has been registered with Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) and as per the initial projection the building is likely to be accorded a 2 star rating.
IT Park is expected to save about 39 per cent of energy consumption and other building's resource consumption and waste generation.
The building has been proposed to house IT entrepreneurs, incubation center and various other offices.
Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (AKVN) managing director Kumar Purushottam said, "The new IT park will be based on the green concept that will help us reduce energy and water consumption."
The regularly occupied spaces in the building will get daylight for most of the days of the year while the building will also be smoke and tobacco free.
Architect consultant for the project Shruti Purohit said, "The building will have least dependency on artificial light as most of the areas will be covered by natural light. The building will also make utmost usage of waste water that will be recycled in STP and later used for landscaping and flushing."
The proposed eight-storey building will accommodate 40 offices of different sizes and the total cost of the project is Rs 47 crore. The building will have two parking levels with a capacity of 176 cars. Aluminum lures will be placed as a glare on the glasses of the building for a controlled solar penetration inside the building. The building will also have system for rain water harvesting to make usage of rain water.
Auto Claved Aerated Concrete (AAC ) which includes fly ash will be used for block masonry work.
