Six-yr-old drowns in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: A six-year-old child, Anish Bahadur Chetry drowned in the Saralbhanga river on Wednesday evening.
The child's father, Gopal Chetry, a resident of Patgaon Santipara in Kokrajhar, said a group of kids were playing on the Saralbhanga's banks when his son slipped and fell into the river. His body was found around three kilometres away from the village.
The Patgaon State Dispensary had no doctors in attendance and the child had to be taken to Kokrajhar RN Brahma Civil Hospital, more than an hour's journey away.He was declared brought dead.
