President Uhuru Kenyatta Thursday held a meeting at State House, Nairobi, with 16 MP from the Coast.

The President, who was joined by Deputy President William Ruto, Cabinet secretaries and principal secretaries, discussed development issues concerning the region with the delegation.

After the meeting, Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro, who spoke on behalf of the leaders, said they discussed development issues as well as politics.

Mr Mung'aro said they spoke about infrastructure, land, health, water and youth issues. He added that they also spoke about the Jubilee Party and the role Coast leaders will play in it.

"We will join the Jubilee Party and by the time it will be launched we will be at the centre and will take our rightful place," he said.
