Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Aug 4 2016 10:47PM MGNREGA: Only four states show way in timely payments: Aparajita SarangiVisakhapatnam, Aug 4 (UNI) Joint Secretary, Union Ministry of Rural Development, Aparajita Sarangi said that timely payment to the workers under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) was the one of the key indicators of the successful implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), and she asked State Governments to ensure timely payment to all the beneficiaries. Inaugurating the three-day inter-state exchange programme on Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA),Ms Sarangi asked the states to remove bottleneck for ensuring timely payment to the beneficiaries to fulfill the basic intend of the MGNREGA.
