Portion of building collapses at Girgaon

On Thursday night a portion of a ground plus two storied structure collapsed at Girgaon in South Mumbai injuring one person. Over 10 fire engines were rushed to the spot.

MUMBAI: On Thursday night a portion of two adjacent buildings collapsed at Girgaon in South Mumbai injuring one person.
Around 8pm portion of Bhagirathi building a ground plus three storied structure and Kum Kirti building a ground plus two storied structure structure collapsed. The toilet portion, common passage of both the buildings collapsed.
Over 10 fire engines were rushed to the spot.

Civic officials said that there were around four people who were trapped but have been safely pulled out. However Bina Devi, 20 sustained injuries to hands, legs and chest. She was immediately removed and rushed to GT hospital. The fire brigade are checking if any one more is stuck in the debris.
No casualties were reported in this incident.
