'Why run away from Delhi, meditate in capital over people's problem: Meenakshi Lekhi to Kejriwal

New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and MP Meenakshi Lekhi today advised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to focus on the people of Delhi instead of running away from the capital in the name of ‘Vipassana’ (a form of meditation). ''Mr Kejriwal should now leave the path of confrontation with the Modi government as he was going to gain nothing out of its except frustration,’’ Ms Lkehi said reacting to today’s Delhi High Court judgement holding that the Lt Governor was the head of the capital’s administration. ''Better meditate about the people’s problem in Delhi,’’ she said taking a dig at Mr Kejriwal who is these away in Himachal Pradesh hill resport of Dharamshala for Vipassana. She said the high constitutional posts like that of the President of the country and governors should be above politics, but Mr Kejriwal was trying to destroy the sanctity of high institutions for his selfish end. The BJP MP said she failed to understand as to why Mr Kejriwal was frittering away the people’s mandate in his favour and making himself a laughing stock by resorting to all that was not legally tenable.
