Cerner Corp. (CERN) Jumped To A 9-Month High After Q2 Profit Topped Estimates

Cerner Corp. (CERN) reported second quarter EPS of $0.58 after the bell Tuesday, up from $0.52 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.57. The company expects to report third quarter EPS of $0.59 to $0.61 and full year EPS of $2.30 to $2.40. Street expectations are for EPS of $0.61 and $2.35.

Cerner gapped up Wednesday and rose sharply in the first half hour of trade. The stock was range-bound for the rest of the session and closed up by 4.35 at $66.30 on above average volume. Cerner climbed above a 2-week trading range and set a 9-month high.
