Dasara panel to meet today

Mysuru: The Dasara high-powered committee meeting convened by CM Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru on Friday has been advanced to Thursday. The meeting has been preponed as the CM is attending the rituals associated with the last rites of his eldest son Rakesh at Tore Katur.
According to deputy commissioner C Shikha, the meeting will be held at 11am at Vidhan Soudha.PWD minister H C Mahadevappa, cooperation minister HS Mahadeva Prasad, Kannada and culture minister Umashree, legislators from Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts and MPs from Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Mandya, mayor and Mysuru zilla panchayat president are among the members of the panel.
The CM's family is performing some rituals including 'Haalu-Thuppa' on Friday at the burial site. The 'thithi' will be held on August 11. tnn
