Pithoragarh, August 3
International boxer honorary captain Dharam Chand (retd) was elected president and advocate Ajay Singh Rathod general secretary while Bahadur Singh Bohra as treasurer of the District Boxing Association here today. Dronacharya awardee and well known international boxer Hari Singh Thapa had been nominated patron of the association, association’s press release said here today.
“The association has decided to organise a district-level boxing competition on August 14 and 15. Besides boxing, the competitions will be organized in other sports also,” said Ajay Singh Rathod, general secretary of the association.— OC
