Alliance BioEnergy Plus Continues Progress Toward CTS-to-Aviation Biofuels

West Palm Beach, FL - Aug. 3, 2016 - Alliance BioEnergy Plus, Inc. (OTCQB:ALLM) (the "Company"), is pleased to announce that following discussions with the Department of Energy (DOE), Alliance has submitted a full Application responsive to the DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for the design and construction of a Demonstration Scale Manufacturing Plant for the production of Aviation Biofuels (JP-8) from cellulosic biomass such as yard waste, agriculture leftovers and woodchips, capable of being used in commercial jet aviation as well as military applications.

Jet fuel accounts for approximately 10% of U.S. petroleum-based refinery production which amounts to approximately 22 billion gallons of jet-fuel annually at a cost to the Airlines of more than $3.00 per gallon (2014 statistics) and is projected to increase above $5.00 per gallon by 2020 (according to the FAA’s Annual Energy Outlook).

Using Alliance’s CTS process, Aviation Biofuels should be producible in the $1.00 range.

Aviation Biofuels have the potential to provide the means and mechanism to meet the Airlines need to comply with government regulations to reduce carbon-emissions going forward and to manage the on-going upward price risk of petroleum based jet-fuel, fuel price volatility and the risk associated with greenhouse gas emissions from petroleum based jet-fuel.

Aviation Biofuels fuels produced from Cellulosic Biomass have the ability to address these needs as well as reduce the overall carbon footprint of fuel transportation and storage by locating CTS Aviation Biofuel plants near major airline hubs.

Alliance’s CTS process is uniquely positioned to be the ONLY commercially viable cellulosic sugar source for conversion into Aviation Biofuels.

The CTS process will allow an Aviation Biofuel manufacturer to directly produce sugars from either or both food and non-food cellulosic biomass for less than $0.08 cents per pound as compared to having to purchase sugar in the wholesale market at a price ranging from $0.19-to-$0.22 cents per pound for agricultural sector sugar.

The ‘Renewable Fuel Standard’ enacted in 2005, revised in 2007 and updated in 2016 has caused substantial investment in failed cellulosic Biofuel research.

The continued failures in enzymatic and strong-acid-hydrolysis conversion processes over the past decade have created a very cautious investment environment (justifiably so) which has left a Hugh-Gap in the production of Biofuels from Cellulosic Biomass.

This Gap is now fillable by Alliance’s CTS Process which resolves the ongoing needs of the Airlines.
