Wrestler’s bail plea rejected

SONEPAT: Additional District and Sessions Judge Santosh Grover today rejected the anticipatory bail plea of junior wrestler, Jitesh.

Sonepat, August 3

Additional District and Sessions Judge Santosh Grover today rejected the anticipatory bail plea of junior wrestler, Jitesh. He had allegedly mixed some substance in the food of Rio-bound wrestler, Narsingh Yadav, at the SAI Centre on July 5.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police Hardeep Singh said he would now be arrested and made to join the investigation. He said Jitesh failed to present himself before the CIA despite August 3 notice. Meanwhile, Jitesh’s family members said they would approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court to seek anticipatory bail for him. —OC
