Commenting on the Congress, Maurya said that Rahul Gandhi may have become the party's vice-president, but he has no chance of becoming the prime minister of this country, so he should try his fortune by contesting Assembly elections from Uttar Pradesh and dream that he gets elected and appointed as the state's chief minister, instead of bothering a senior lady like Sheila Dikshit.

Maurya said that the Akhilesh Yadav government has created an atmosphere of anarchy in Uttar Pradesh and the people want him to be aware of the fact that the days of dividing the voters into castes and communities are long past. He said that now "Bua-Bhatija" are trying together to mislead the people but they should know that their age-old tactics won't bear fruit now. He demanded that Akhilesh Yadav should step down from the post of Chief Minister and call for elections.
