Last week's Lennox Stakes winner Dutch Connection is one of 19 horses to stand their ground for Sunday's Prix Maurice de Gheest at the latest confirmation stage.

Charlie Hills' runner was an impressive winner over seven furlongs at Goodwood and could drop back marginally to six and a half furlongs if he makes a swift reappearance at Deauville.

He is one of a handful of British-trained contenders, with Hugo Palmer's Gifted Master, Richard Fahey’s Donjuan Triumphant, Mobsta from Mick Channon's yard and David O'Meara's Suedois also still in the mix for the Group One event.

Aidan O'Brien has left in both Air Force Blue and Air Vice Marshal, while Tom Hogan's popular veteran Gordon Lord Byron is another possible contender.

Andre Fabre has left in Esoterique, who finished fourth in the Prix Rothschild last Sunday, and Jimmy Two Times, while the Richard Gibson-trained Gold Fun could try to improve on his Diamond Jubilee Stakes second.
