In the wake of the 2016 municipal elections currently underway, TMG Entertainment spoke to TV personality and actress Khanyi Mbau to find out what issues she would tackle if she were to have her own political party.

Under the name, African Women Congress, Khanyi revealed that her own party and government would place copious emphasis on uplifting women in the country, before pointing out that there's so much more that needs to be done for women in the country.

"I would create a political party that highlights women's issues. I think women, at the moment, are getting a raw deal when it comes to empowerment," she explained.

"Women are emotional beings, and we need more support, psychologically as well."

Apart from women, the TV personality opened up about two other issues that are close to her heart, which she would obviously prioritise, through her party.

"Other important issues I would tackle are education and health, because we need to promote healthy living so that people can live longer," she said.

Given that her suggested slogan would be Together It's Possible, it was only fitting that we find out who would be her right-hand man to help get African Women Congress off the ground and into the election run. And who else would it be other than her boyfriend?

"My right-hand man would definitely be Tebogo Lerole," she revealed.
