This Bollywood actress talks about fitness fad that should be avoided at any cost
Anisa Butt, known for her roles in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Brahman Naman, is all set to be seen in Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend. The actress shares with us her fitness secret, the regimen that she is following for Half Girlfriend, and who she thinks has the hottest physique in the industry.
What is your fitness philosophy?
To do something, you need to get moving. Whether it is walking a few times a week, playing a sport or going to the gym, I don't think anyone can deny the benefits of a fitness regime.
What fitness regimen do you follow?
I’ve done a whole bunch of things from spinning to weight training to dancing.
Currently, I work out about four times a week. This is a combination of functional, weight training and cardio.
Do you believe in following fad diets?
No, I don’t. Eventually the weight comes back on immediately if you stop. It is also not healthy and your immunity can suffer. I prefer to eat 80 per cent healthy all year round and just push to meet targets as and when they come.

Are you following any special fitness routine for your upcoming flick 'Half Girlfriend'?
Nothing specific for the film. However, I was down with a viral, so my routine had suffered. So I am just getting back to making new goals and smashing them.
Any fitness fad that should be avoided?
I would say liquid diets. They have great detox benefits but they should be used only for detox purpose. In the long run I think it is important to keep balance. One should preferably eat whole foods and avoid preservatives throughout the year.
Who has the most impressive physique in Bollywood?
Among actresses, I think Deepika and among actors, Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh.
Vegetarianism or non-vegetarianism, what do you prefer?
I have a balance of both. I am more inclined to vegetarian foods, however, because of my gym routines and for my protein needs, I do eat eggs.
Your fitness mantra?
Set up goals for yourself and let that drive you. Never compare yourself with others because each body is different. I truly believe one can definitely change their physique and transform. It is all about self belief. If one chooses difficult paths in life, the outcome is even sweeter if you succeed.
