Me and my car's Anand Radia: 'It was my ultimate dream'

What made you decide on your car? Can you put into words how it makes you feel?
In 2013, on my 50th birthday, I put a picture of the Rolls-Royce Wraith on my Facebook page stating that this is my dream car and I would love to own it one day. Two years later, in 2015, I made my dream come true and purchased a Wraith from Rolls-Royce AGMC. It was the proudest moment of my life as I had achieved the ability to own a car from this iconic brand.

What would be your dream ride or is this it?
The Rolls-Royce Wraith was my ultimate dream car and now I get to drive it every day. However, if I ever move to the US, I will purchase a muscle car. Final tick, as far as cars are concerned, on my bucket list.

What's your most memorable road trip and why?
Apart from being in my own car, in April of this year, the wonderful team from Rolls-Royce AGMC invited my wife and I on a driving trip to the Al Maha Resort. They provided the cars for this trip and we got the opportunity to drive the newly launched Dawn, the Wraith & the Ghost. We had a fantastic time driving these cars to the resort and ended the evening with delightful hospitality at the resort.

What's your favourite car movie?
I truly enjoy all of the Fast & Furious movies and can still watch Gone in Sixty Seconds.

Do you think the Dubai lifestyle means there's a lot of pressure to get a nice car? Is it easier to get your hands on your dream car here than anywhere else?
Yes, there can be pressure especially if you want to 'keep up appearances'. However, for me it was the challenge of fulfilling my dream. Not too sure if it's easier to get your hands on your dream car in Dubai compared to anywhere else, as I have now lived here for nineteen years. However I doubt if you will come across the fantastic level of customer service that I was privileged to receive .

What's your favourite soundtrack while driving?
My drive to work is reasonably short and I am an avid listener of the radio. Most music is to my liking.

If you could have one fantasy passenger on a road trip who would it be and why?
 She is already with me on all my trips, my wife Anjili Samtani Radia.

Who do you think would win in a drag race between you with your car, Dick Dastardly and his whacky racer and Batman in his Batmobile?
I believe the Wraith would give both of them a run for their money.
