Four members of a family died after consuming poisonous tea at Amritpur village in Bela area of Auraiya district on late Monday night.

As many as 18 people committed suicide since a Bangalore special court sentenced the AIADMK supremo to four years imprisonment on Saturday.
Kanpur: Four members of a family died after consuming poisonous tea at Amritpur village in Bela area of Auraiya district on late Monday night.
According to police, the woman Rani (32), her two daughters Mansi (8) and Upasana (3) and son Kanahiya (7) died after consuming the tea. The tea was prepared by the woman.
The woman along with her three children was staying with her in-laws as her husband Ram Chandra Chauhan works in Delhi
The police later reached the spot and shifted the bodies to morgue.

A senior police official said, "The tea is suspected to be poisonous. The postmortem report will reveal the cause of the death of four members of a family".
Meanwhile, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Rani's parents, the police have arrested the woman's father-in-law and mother-in-law after registering a case against them.
Rani's parents have alleged that their daughter along with her three kids had committed suicide following mental and physical torture by her inlaws.
