Anbumani still the president: Badminton Association

CHENNAI: The Badminton Association of India (BAI) on Tuesday termed the removal of PMK MP Anbumani Ramadoss from the post of president of Tamil Nadu Badminton Association (TNBA) as "totally illegal".
In a letter to TNBA general secretary, Ashok Bajaj, BAI president Akhilesh Das Gupta said that the former's actions were "unwanted, inappropriate and not within the powers of a general secretary".
"No proper procedure was followed and BAI was not intimated to send the observer. This is totally illegal. Hence, BAI recognises Anbumani Ramadoss as officially elected president of TNBA," Gupta said.
