Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Aug 2 2016 6:17PM Tsunami SOP workshop heldHyderabad, Aug 2 (UNI) In preparation for the Indian Ocean Wave Exercise 2016 (IOWave 16) that will be held internationally in the Indian Ocean Region on September 7 and 8 , the Indian Tsunami Early Warning Centre at ESSO-INCOIS held a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Workshop here today. The workshop was aimed at fine-tuning procedures for various agencies responsible for disseminating Tsunami Advisories from ESSO-INCOIS and for the expected first responders in event of a Tsunami. These procedures would be tested during the IOWave16 Mock Drill that is expected to engage vulnerable coastal districts up to community/ ground level.
