JHANG: The district police officer of Jhang has punished 102 police officers on the charges of absenteeism and negligence here on Sunday.
The Jhang DPO relegated Sub Inspectors Akram, Naseer Ahmed and Afzal assistant sub inspector while he confiscated two year service of constables Waris and Asif.
DPO Hamayon Masood also confiscated one-year service of 15 other constables including Head Constable Ghulam Jaffer. He stopped three-year increment of Constables Jamshed Ali, Najamul Hassan and Adnan Naeem while he ordered to stop one-year increment of 13 officials including Sub Inspector Yaqoob. At least 21 constables were punished by detecting one day salary and 12 constables were punished by detecting salary of two days while constable Haji Mehmood , constable Kamran Anwar were punished by detecting salary of four days.
Similarly, constables Ghulam Shabir, Umer Daraz, Adnan, Nor Muhammad, Nasir Ali, Ghulam Qasim and Mudasser Ali were punished by detecting salary of 16 days. On the occasion, show cause notices were issued to Inspector Baber, ASI Asad and two other officers.–Staff Reporter
