: Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao here on Monday asserted that the Telugu Desam Party and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu were ready for any sacrifice for the sake of the State.

Addressing a press conference along with Agriculture Minister P. Pulla Rao and BC Welfare Minister Kollu Ravindra, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said: “Those who have to help us develop are denying it and the manner in which they are dealing with the issue in Parliament is worrisome. All the seniors who spoke in Parliament during the bifurcation of A.P. supported the proposal of Special Category Status for A.P., and Arun Jaitely had even demanded that the status be extended to 10 years. If the Prime Minister and his government give a thought, all these issues can be solved easily,” he added.

“Jagan playing politics”

He said the TDP would work with other parties if the situation warranted. “However, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is only trying to cash in on the mood of people now. There is no scope for politics on this issue and people are watching the commitment of parties and the government,” he added.
