Manish Wadhwa to play Peshwa’s father in 'Bajirao Mastani'

The makers of the magnum opus 'Bajirao Mastani' are busy finalising the cast of the show, which will air on Sony Entertainment Television. They have roped in Manish Wadhwa, who is currently seen in 'Nagarjuna — Ek Yoddha', to play Bajirao Peshwa’s father Balaji Vishwanath Peshwa. According to a website, Prachi Shah will play Manish’s wife. Also, Isha Koppikar will feature in a pivotal role in the show.
When contacted, Manish remained unavailable for comment.The show is being co-produced by Sunjoy Wadhwa of Sphere Origins and Nilanjana Purkyasstha’s Invictus T Mediaworks.
It is to be noted that even &TV was planning an adaptation of the blockbuster 'Bajirao Mastani'. However, Sony Entertainment Television has pipped the rival channel to post, forcing them to apparently shelve their project.
