Three injured in crash outside Frankston Hospital

TWO women are critical after their car crashed into pole outside a hospital in Melbourne’s southeast.

Emergency services were called to Hastings Rd after reports of a crash outside Frankston Hospital about 5.30am.

Two women were trapped inside the car, with one trapped for more than an hour.

The woman, aged in her 20s, suffered pelvis injuries and was flown to The Alfred in a stable condition.

The other woman was trapped for 30 minutes, suffered chest and abdominal injuries and was taken to The Alfred by road.

The male driver was taken to Frankston Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and remains under police guard.

Earlier emergency services were called to a car crash in North Melbourne.

A man in his 30s suffered head, chest and pelvis injuries after his car flipped when it crashed into a tram stop on Abbotsford St about 11pm last night.

He was taken to the Royal Melbourne hospital in a serious condition.
