Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Mr. Baseer Ahmad Khan in a meeting held here today reviewed the dredging process of river Jhelum with the Department of Irrigation and Flood Control, Kashmir.Taking stock of on-going dredging work at various places of river Jhelum, the Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned to speed up the pace of work so that it could be completed within time frame. He also stressed on the authorities to work in double shift so that flood like situation do not arise again in the valley during rainy season.The meeting was informed that dredging machines have already been pressed into service and dredging process is going on in full swing at various places. Two more dredging machines are being brought to valley so that dredging work can be completed within time frame.Senior officers of I&FC attended the meeting.
