Teen missing for 5 years returns home
AHMEDABAD: When Pravin Patel, a resident of Krishnanagar, got a call on Sunday, he could not believe his ears. The person on the other side claimed to be his long-lost son Vishal. Patel could not contain his excitement, but he ensured that he was not running into any trap and decided to keep policemen and relatives close when he went to receive the teen at Kalupur railway station.

"It was a teary eyed moment for both the father and the son. Vishal had disappeared from home when the family used to live in Meghaninagar in 2011. At that time, he was around 14 years of age. Vishal narrated that he had first gone to Visnagar, the family's native, without any idea where he wanted to go and fell in a bad company due to which he had first gone to Surat and then to Mumbai. He claimed that a gang had tried to push him into drug trade but he managed to flee and worked at a catering agency," said Harshad Patel, a social worker from Amraiwadi.
The city police have started verifying Vishal's claims as he has mentioned that he remembered his father's number and called him up after reaching the city railway station.
