Foundation stone for projects

Shakuntala Shetty, MLA for Puttur, would lay the foundation stones for various development works proposed by the Karavali Development Authority in her constituency on August 2 in the presence of authority chairperson Nivedit Alva. The projects include foot-bridges at Kumbadi in Padnur village, Talapady Korangila in Bettampady, Panimaru in Kedambady and Bylamoole at Keyyur.

Counsellors needed

Prajna De-addiction Centre, Mangaluru, has invited applications for the post of counsellors. Candidates with MSW (Medical and Psychiatric), aged between 18 and 35 and having two years experience are eligible to apply. Also, the women empowerment centre at Prajna, sponsored by the Women and Child Development Department, needs a superintendent, who would be offered Rs. 25,000 as monthly honorarium. Women candidates with MSW (Medical and Psychiatric) with two years experience are eligible to apply. August 16 is the last date to submit the filled in applications. Nominated

Sushil Jathanna, Vice-chairman of the Indian Red Cross society, Dakshina Kannada and Chairman, Red Cross Blood Bank, Mangaluru, has been nominated to the Health Services Committee of the Society’s Karnataka chapter for 2016-19.

Applications invited

The office of the Child Development Project Director, Mangaluru Urban, has invited applications from eligible candidates for six posts of anganwadi assistants and two posts of volunteers at various anganwadi centres in the city. While those applying for assistants post should at least have passed class 4, those applying for volunteer post should have passed SSLC.
