TRS refutes allegations on Eamcet-II leakage

August 01, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 06:04 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The TRS MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy has taken serious exception to the allegations made by Congress leader Shabbir Ali on the involvement of the party leaders, and said they are baseless, and reflected the frustration of the Congress party.

He said Magna InfoTech has been providing pre-examination and post-examination software related services for the last several years and in fact, even the Andhra Pradesh Eamcet used their services. “They neither have any role in printing the paper nor distribution. They only help Eamcet officials on the applications submitted by the students and later valuing the OMR sheets without any human involvement,” he said. Linking them to TRS leaders is ridiculous, he said.

Mr. Reddy said the company had been extending similar services to all the CETs over the years. Their services were taken in the combined State as well, he said and asked how can one accuse the TRS party or its leaders as if they were a new company acquired for this task. “CETs have been leaked in the country for about 80 times so far and nowhere the concerned people resigned, including the people appointed by the Congress,” he reminded.

Meanwhile, Magnetic Infotech (Pvt) Ltd also refuted the allegations made against it by Md. Ali Shabbir. In a statement here, Managing Director of the company Vijay N. Rao clarified that they had participated in tenders and were awarded contract for processing all common entrance test (CET) examinations by a committee comprising convenors and ex-convenors of all major CETs and experts co-opted from BITS-Hyderabad and IIT-Hyderabad. He said the company had clean track record in processing CET examinations for the past 15 years even in the United AP.
