A committee was set up by the SPPU authorities after it was noticed that the college had possibly flouted rules of the University Grants Commission (UGC) regarding precautions to be taken during college trips. However, six months into the incident, the committee report is still under wraps.

SPPU Vice-Chancellor Wasudeo Gade said the college would be issued a letter within next two days. “The inquiry committee report has been submitted to us and we have referred it to the legal department to draft a letter to the college. As far as I know, there are some suggestions to the college under the University Act. We can give you the details on Monday,” he said.
