Agra, July 31: A day after Dalit couple were hacked to death by a shopkeeper in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh for Rs 15 debt, online crowdfunding platform has raised funds for their three kids. Some online users had also pointed out possibilities of adopting three kids – Rahul, 15, Ranjit, 13, and Lallu, 8.

The Dalit couple who were hacked to death on Saturday are also survived by two married daughters, who are not in a position to take care of the minors. Ketto , a famous internet-based crowdfunding platform known for raising funds for social, charitable, personal and creative causes had offered to lend their support, with starting a fundraiser to benefit three kids. (Also Read: Failing to gather 40,000 Dalits, BJP cancels party president Amit Shah’s rally in Agra)

According to Times of India, Manpreet, one of the resident of Delhi reportedly said that he is ready to become their legal guardian and will bear their expenses of their studies through orphanage. Ahmedabad based entrepreneur Parth Sarthy had even offered to adopt the kids.

Shashank Gupta, a resident of Haridwar has offered immediate financial assistance of Rs 5,000 for boys beside Rs 1,000 per month. One of a businessman from Mumbai, Pramod Srivastava said if the boys were willing to relocate in Mumbai in a better orphanage then he is ready to bear the expenses. A local social organisation also said that they are willing to fund their studies as well.

Some local politicians had also jumped in to assist the trio kids. Bahujan Samaj Party activist from Mainpuri had donated the grieving family of the victims and donated them come foods. Locals believe that Kumari is eyeing a party ticket from Kishni assembly constituency.
