Kullu, July 30
Prem Pal Ranta, Special Judge-I, Kullu, sentenced two persons to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for the rape of a minor here today.
Jitender Kumar Goswami, Deputy District Attorney, Kullu, said that Ravinder Sharma of Kaliuni village in Banjar and Birbal of Gharatgar village were found guilty of abducting and raping a minor girl in October 2013.
He said that both the accused were also convicted and a consolidated fine of Rs 10,000 each had been imposed on the duo. He said the prosecution had examined 13 witnesses. — OC
