Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jul 30 2016 8:15PM LPG Distribution Melas to be organised under PMUY to mark 70th Independence Day: PradhanKolkata, Jul 30 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan today asked all the District Nodal Officers (DNO) of Eastern and North-Eastern states to organise LPG Distribution Melas on and from August 15, to mark the 70th Independence Day of the country. The Mela, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, will be inaugurated by a Freedom Fighter of the region. This will enable the women of BPL families to get an LPG connection in their names under the unique scheme launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said. Presiding over a meeting of all the DNOs of eastern and north-eastern region here today, Mr Pradhan appreciated the enormous enthusiasm and commitment shown by each DNO being foot soldier of the PM’s vision to bring qualitative change in the lives of millions of women.
