There ain't no party like a Ballina party

This footage from a night in a Mayo nightclub in 1990 will give you all the nostalgic feels.

All the early 90's style staples are here, including loud-print shirts, polonecks, waistcoats, baggy jumpers, velvet scrunchies and plenty of perms.

Funnily enough, most of these trends have made a comeback as we embrace all things 90s but there's no mistaking this footage for anything contemporary.

People are caught on shaky camcorder footage dancing to The Cure and U2, smoking indoors and looking innocent (apart from that woman terrorising people with her bra) and fresh-faced in all their minimal 90s glory.

There's even a safe sex warning from the DJ: "Tonight's password is, 'Don't be silly, put a condom on that willy!'"

The video was uploaded to YouTube by Gerry McGuire, whose parents owned The Waterfront in Ballina between 1975 and 1991.

We'd love to know what most of these people are up to now.

Do you recognise anyone?
