Lakshmi (45), wife of of Dhandapani, died due to burns at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Friday. The Ramanathapuram Police said that eyewitnesses near her home in Olympus had seen her crying out for help. But they were not sure if it was a suicide attempt or somebody had set her on fire. Police have picked up Dhandapani for questioning.

Central Crime Branch of the Coimbatore City Police have on Friday arrested brothers Nandakumar and Manikandan of cheating businessman Gerald of Kalapatti of a few lakh rupees by promising to manufacture plastic bottles.
