Eight killed in two accidents

Four persons each were killed in Ramnad and Dindigul districts

In two accidents that occurred in Ramanathapuram and Dindigul districts on Friday, eight persons were killed and eight others injured. A 108 ambulance, carrying an aged patient and his family members collided with a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus near Thirupullani in Ramanathapuram district. Four persons were killed in the accident. The deceased were identified as ambulance driver P. Saravanakumar (28), patient Velu (65), his daughter V. Muthumari (42) and her father-in-law Somuvel (66).

In the accident that occurred near Pandiarajapuram in Dindigul district, four persons were killed on the spot when their car rammed a container-laden lorry parked on National Highway 7. The deceased were Kodaikanal Moonjikkal Parish Assistant Priest Arun Arulappar (30) of Michaelpalayam, former DMK municipal councillor Sahaya Raj (45) of Antonyarpuram in Moonjikkal, Sesu Raj (45) of Keezhbhoomi and Michael (55) of Thanthimedu in Kodaikanal.
