Omar hits out at Mehbooba over comments on Burhan's encounter

Srinagar, Jul 29 (UNI) Upping the ante at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti over her statement that security forces had no idea that they were targeting top Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Burhan Wani, main opposition National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah said at no point did the state Police suggest that they didn’t know who was trapped.
“At NO point in the 1st JK police media briefing was it ever suggested that they didn't know who was trapped,” Mr Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
In a series of tweets, Mr Abdullah hit out at the state government and Ms Mehbooba over different versions of the Burhan encounter coming out in the last three weeks.
