The Hungarian unit of Franceʼs Schneider Electric today inaugurated a new 1,600 sqm warehouse building in Zalaegerszeg, doubling storage capacity, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

Schneider Electric Hungaria currently employs 170 people and plans to increase headcount by 50 in the next year, plant manager Peter Sali said, adding that the company is leasing the warehouse.

He said the expansion is partly due to a recently won €7.5 million Russian order, which covers the plantʼs total production capacity for a full year.

Sali told MTI that Schneider Electricʼs Zalaegerszeg plant had revenue of HUF 7 billion last year.
