MLA Surankote reviews functioning of RDD

MLA Sunankote Choudhary Mohammad Akram today convened a meeting to review the functioning of Rural Development Department at Dak Bungalow Poonch. ACD Dr Basharat Hussain, Xen REW R. Sharma, DPO Poonch Majid Jhangir, BDO, AEEs, Technical Assistants of MGNREGA and field functionaries of the department attended the meeting.The ACD apprised the chair about the physical and financial achievements registered under various schemes of the department.Expressing satisfaction over the performance of the department, the MLA asked the officers and field functionaries to reach out to the people and keep them aware about the welfare schemes and programmes so that they can avail maximum benefits from these.He stressed on taking up projects under convergence mode for creating durable assets catering to areas specific needs.
