An 18-year-old "Pokemon Go" fan in Germany was sure where and when to find virtual monsters: a mobile home in a small provincial town in the small hours.

Police said Friday that they received a call at 4.28 a.m. from a woman in Polch, near Koblenz in western Germany, complaining that someone was hammering persistently on the door of her trailer and demanding to be let in.

Officers sent to the scene found a young man who told them he was collecting Pokemon figures.

Police said in a statement: "It was made clear to him, without authorities having searched the mobile home, that no Pokemon were waiting for him there."

"Pokemon Go" was officially rolled out in Germany in mid-July.
