A bag, laptop and several other valuable items belonging to a woman went missing onboard the Rajdhani Express on way to Mumbai from Delhi today.

Rupali Gaekwad (50) registered a complaint of robbery after her belongings were stolen around midnight.

"The train halted before Ratlam. My seat was near the door. The accused snatched by bag and ran away. I tried to run after him but the train began moving," Rupali said.

"Later, another passenger said that her ornaments worth Rs 80,000 were missing. We began looking for the ticket checker or coach attendant. We checked the list of passengers and none of them were missing," she added.

The woman also accused the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of not being present on duty.

"There was no sign of any RPF personnel on board the train. If this is the state of Rajdhani, I shudder to think of the plight of suburban train commuters," Gaekwad, who was visiting Mumbai for a show, said.

When contacted, spokesperson of Western Railway said that the RPF and Government Railway Police (GRP) of Ratlam have been approached for a status report of the case.
