Islam not connected to IS, says cleric

HUBBALLI: Hazrat Sayyed Mohammed Asraf Al Gilani of Hazrat Makdoom Ashraf Jehangir Simnani Dargah at Kachocha in Uttar Pradesh appreciated the Indian Army for killing wanted Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Muzaffar Wani alongwith two of his accomplices in Jammu and Kashmir recently. Speaking to reporters, Gilani said that Indian Muslims do not support terrorism and anti-national elements."IS (Islamic State) is different from Islam. It has no connection with Islam and Indian Muslims are protecting the integrity of our nation," he said.
He expressed his displeasure over educated youths joining the IS.
