PDMA orders speeding up relief work

SIALKOT-Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab Chairman Jawad Akram visited the flood-hit areas of Sialkot city and Pasrur tehsil.
He reviewed the flood disasters and damages caused by the Nullahs Aik and Dek in Sialkot and Pasrur. He directed the officials of the Sialkot district management to utilise all the available resources for the draining out of the water from all urban and rural flood hit areas, besides, jazzing up the speed of the relief activities.
He also directed DCO Dr Asif Tufail to start the repairing of the breaches in the protective dykes in Sialkot city, Daska and Pasrur tehsils due to high level flood in Nullah Aik and Nullah Dek there.
He also directed the concerned officials of Sialkot health department and veterinary health department to ensure the early establishment of the medical camps in the flood hit areas of Sialkot, Daska and Pasrur.
