The Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games has been initially established, with nine departments created.

Yan Cheng, human resource director of the committee, said more departments are to come.

"It is expected that the committee will form 28 departments before the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, to meet the demands of the preparations and the running of the event."

The committee now has two operation centers in Beijing and the neighboring city of Zhang-jiakou, two cities where the Winter Games are to be held.

After 2022, Beijing will become the first city ever in history that has held both Summer and Winter Olympics.
